Installation

CrawlPilot is a Chrome extension that runs in your browser's side panel. Your data stays on your computer, and you don't need an account.

System Requirements

  • Browser: Google Chrome 114 or newer, on Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS
  • AI tools (optional): the Page assistant and AI Extract use Gemini Nano, the AI model built into Chrome. Every other tool works without it. See Page assistant.
Note
Other Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc) may work but are not officially supported yet.

Install from the Chrome Web Store

    Open the CrawlPilot listing on the Chrome Web Store.

    Click Add to Chrome.
  3. 03
    Click Add extension in the confirmation dialog.

Pin to the Toolbar

    Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome's toolbar.
  2. 02
    Find CrawlPilot in the list.
  3. 03
    Click the pin icon next to it.

First Run

    Open a web page, for example a shop's search results.
  2. 02
    Click the CrawlPilot icon. The side panel opens on the right with Welcome to CrawlPilot and two ways to start: Get a list from a page or Same details from many pages.

    If the panel says CrawlPilot can't see this page yet, click Allow and confirm in Chrome's dialog. This happens once. See Permissions & Privacy for why.

    Click Try it on this page to go straight to your first list, or Go to Home to see every tool.

From here, the Quick Start takes you to your first spreadsheet in about two minutes.

If the panel doesn't open, right-click the CrawlPilot icon and choose Open side panel.

Updates

Chrome updates CrawlPilot automatically when a new version is published. Your saved data and recipes carry over. See the release notes for what's new.
